TAIS Mentors is a year-long experience designed to connect experienced independent school leaders with colleagues across our network who are seeking expanded perspective, guidance, and support. Built on the power of shared experience, this newly expanded network mentorship model creates space for connection and reflection, growth and insight, and stronger practice at every level. TAIS Mentors pairs you with a trusted peer who understands your context and has volunteered to invest in your success. Through intentional matching, purposeful conversations, and real-world application, you’ll gain support that turns professional goals into progress.

TAIS Mentors is ideal for leaders, faculty, or staff who are:
  • Seeking perspective and experiences beyond their own school;
  • Navigating an adaptive challenge or seeking to build capacity;
  • Or wanting to expand their perspective on effective independent school practice—whether through micro exploration, targeted focus, or highly specific inquiry.

Participation in TAIS Mentors is complimentary for current New and Emerging Leaders Institute cohort members.

The program launches in mid-September. Registration for the following year opens in March. After registering, you will:

  • Receive access to browse Mentor Profiles and share your preferences
  • Receive your finalized mentor match in early September
  • Join the Mentee Launch Zoom in mid-September
  • Reach out to your mentor to initiate your first connection
