Reports to: Director of Annual Giving and Chief Advancement Officer 
Collaborates with: Family Engagement Coordinator; Philanthropic Events Coordinator
 
Position Summary 
The Alumni Donor Relations Manager supports Baylor School’s fundraising strategy by managing constituent engagement programs, donor solicitation strategies, and stewardship plans. The role works closely with the Director of Annual Giving to grow participation and philanthropic support from alumni constituents.

Key Responsibilities 
Fundraising & Planning 

  • Set annual gift revenue goals in collaboration with the Director of Annual Giving and CAO. 
  • Develop and implement donor engagement and solicitation strategies for alumni constituent groups, setting timelines and benchmarks. 
  • Partner with Director of Annual Giving to schedule cultivation events and communications for targeted donors and prospects.
  • Coordinate with Director of Alumni Engagement and reunion chairs on reunion year giving strategies.
    Volunteer & Program Support 
  • Recruit, train, and manage alumni volunteers required for annual giving initiatives. 
  • Attend and assist with advancement related events.

Portfolio Management 

  • Manage a portfolio of alumni with capacities of $500–$5,000. 
  • Prepare personalized gift recognition communications. 

Stewardship 

  • Manage first gift acknowledgments, sending gifts and cards to alumni. 
  • Create a long-term, multi-leveled donor stewardship plan to develop, manage, and grow ongoing individual donor relationships and ensure donor retention.

Reporting 
Produce information for senior administrators and the Board as needed. 

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required. 
  • Minimum three years of progressive development experience. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 
  • Ability to multi-task with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with colleagues and alumni.
  • Familiarity with fundraising databases (Raiser’s Edge preferred) and proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Powerpoint). 
  • Ability to work some evenings/weekends.
