Organization Overview
Akiva School is a leading K-6 Jewish Day School. Akiva’s mission is to pursue excellence, foster critical inquiry and inspire informed Jewish living. Our graduates are consistently accepted into the most selective private middle and high-schools, as well as selective magnet and charter options. Graduates are recognized as leaders in both character and academic achievement.
In 2019, Akiva became the first Jewish Day School in the world and the first elementary school in Tennessee to be STEAM (science, technology, engineering, the Arts, and mathematics) certified by AdvancED. The STEAM experience is engaged across a dual language curriculum in both Hebrew and Jewish Studies that is immersive and reflective.
At Akiva, we firmly believe in educating the whole child. With an intellectual, physical, and spiritual focus, every child is nurtured and supported as an individual and as part of a rich and vibrant community.
